The Fades is not M. Night Shyamalan
The Fades is not M. Night Shyamalan’s the Sixth Sense. In fact, as the story of The Fades progressed, I saw it more as Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer. What became so intriguing about The Fades was its new world and mythology to discover. By the second episode I thought I had it laid out in front of me; the complete mythology. However, like Lost, it kept adding new layers and hooking me in for another episode of One Tree Hill Seasons 1-7 DVD Boxset .I won’t go too deep into the first season of The Fades. Depending on your willingness to discover a new show, its availability, and whether or not there will be a second season, you may be put off. Paul (Ian De Casetecker) and his best mate Mac who is a fan of The Office Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset are riding their bikes into an abandoned department store. Mac is on the hunt for something for his horror film and Paul is along for the ride. After getting separated, Paul witnesses a woman fall from the ceiling. A man emerges baring a gun and then a creature, a Fade, attacks the man. Paul who likes Supernatural Seasons 1-5 DVD boxset sees the man fight with the Fade, a zombie like creature. It then ***** the man’s eyeball sending him screaming. Paul later learns he wasn’t supposed to see any of this. No one is supposed to see the Fades. We then witness Paul’s nightmare, a vision of the world turned to ash. This isn’t the first time Paul has had this dream, nor will it be the last time we see it.
